Re: Bought my first Snap-On tool today
My dad bought a Schrade knife when he was in his twenties. It came with a warranty against loss. If he loses it, they'll replace it...He's never lost it.

Re: Bought my first Snap-On tool today
How on Earth can you prove that you lost it? And how can they prove that you didn't?

Of all the tools to spend big bucks on, why crimpers? Seems HF would be fine for those.

Re: Bought my first Snap-On tool today
^^^^ What he said.
I was actually considering getting a pair from HF, even though they do suck, but the Snap-On guy happened to show up right after I went through a hell of a time trying to find ANY crimpers when I needed a set real bad to get my tow truck back on the road. I used to get the ones that Radio Shit sold, and they were really good for the price, but they never lasted very long, and the ones they sell now are crap in comparison.
The HF crimpers LOOK almost exactly like the old style Snap-On ones, but the quality of them can't even dream to compare.

Re: Bought my first Snap-On tool today
Not officially, but the guy did tell me I could pay off tools at like $40 a week. I'd prefer to pay cash though.
I also bought a pair of cutters last week for a little less than the crimpers. I missed the SnapOn guy this week. Hopefully I'll catch him next week. It would be nice to get at least 1 new tool every couple weeks.

Re: Bought my first Snap-On tool today
Last week I got me some Snap On pliers... Today my Snap On cutters snapped off. Trying to cut through a thin metal cable the tip of my cutters flew off. I kept trying to cut it and a bigger chunk flew off. Glad they're warrantied.
